Snake Eater by Jackov Snake Eater by Jackov
This Pic was taken at AWA 13 by my super awesome friend Mark A.
The dramatic save the girl in trouble pose.
I'm cosplaying as Naked Snake and my friend :iconsalenab: in her Tatyana( which she took from me by not of my free will, lol) Cosplay. :iconsalenab: is also the wonderful artist who does my zombie face panit for the costume.
Question here: SO, do I pull off a good Naked Snake even thou I'm a female? Tee hee.
Thanks for looking.
Naked Snake and Tatyana(EVA) are from Metal Gear Solid 3-Snake Eater.

haha, that costume is shoved into a very darkhole in my closet.
I got lucky on the backpack for him and EVA
the the hoslter is for a ww2 colt 1911
the hooks are called snap hooks and D-rings you can get them online from any skydriving place. you can make the rig from nylon straping.

Where did you get your harness from? I'm trying to source one for airsofting and apart from issue rig (one grand off eBay, thank you, I'm not THAT crazy) and a US made repro (200 bucks, thank you again), there's not much you can find.

I made that STABO but here is the link to what I used to get must of parts [link] this will come with the right Snap hook and D-rings to make it. Naked is also wearing a WW2 web belt.

Thanks, it lacks some things (at least to make a STABO pictured here: [link] ) but it still works. Also, I thought that the web belt is a M56 one, like in the games.
Where did you get the holster from? I had some problems sourcing it...

[link] ebay page of the holsters some of them are brown but that's nothing Black shoe polish won't fix, and [link] here's the web belt, That STABO from the game is not at all right to any US standards. I had the poor guy at the army navy store looking at the picture with me and he could not understand how inaccurate it all was. But him and I dug thru shit and came up with what I got. we mangeaged to even find the right backpack in the mist of all his tresures. My radio pouch was a Sten Gun clip holder dyed with Dark Grn rit die. That was the only thing that even came close to a so called Radio Pouch.

A buddy of mine managed to locate an "issue" STABO rig on eBay, but it costs an arm, a leg and a kidney. Luckily, it looks pretty much like the thing I linked to in previous comment, so sourcing a handful of adjusters, snap hooks, d-rings and several yards of 1 3/4" nylon tape is just a matter of money and there are people out there who will put it together for 20 bucks. Even if it won't look like the Snake harness (which lacks the d-rings on shoulders - the most important part of a STABO rig), it's okay with me. It's more milsim that way. ;)
The black shoe polish advice won't cut it here, since I'll be doing more than standing pretty and posing for pictures, although thanks for the links - those holsters are impossible to get on my side of the ocean. The belt you linked to is a M56 webbing belt, exactly like the one Snake uses, but it's not WW2.
As for the backpack, I'm confused here, because the only big cargo stuff Snake has on the photos is a M56 cargo pack, or 'buttpack' that you clip to your belt (although I only played Portable Ops).

When I'm done with the loadout, I'll drop you a message pointing to my other account, though. Thanks for help.

Hi, it's me again, this time from my private account.
[link];products_id=228 - here's something that would be just right for Eva's Broomhandle.

As for my STABO rig, it's VERY slowly crawling forward - seems that the parachute stuff you sent me is the easiest way to get the webbing (if the shop sends overseas, that is), at which point sourcing the missing parts (mostly triangular V-Rings) is a piece of cake.

(link got corrupted - all those bloody holsters cost around fifty bucks, I was talking about the "Chinese Officer's Rig")

Leather holster or stock-holster? I think I saw the latter in some Hong Kong shop, but I must check.
